Mr. Kayode Adeola Egbetokun the Inspector General of Police in his continuation of his duty tour to Lagos State, paid a courtesy visit on Oba Rilwan Aremu Osuolale Akiolu the Oba of Lagos at the palace where he extended his heartfelt appreciation to the royal father, who once served as an Assistant Inspector General of Police prior to his retirement.
The Police Boss commended the Oba for his unwavering support and dedication in ensuring the Police reaches and maintains its esteemed position in Nigeria's security architecture.
The Oba of Lagos expressed his admiration for the Acting Inspector General of Police remarkable achievements thus far. Then assured the visitor of the full cooperation of Lagos State's Obas, chiefs, and the entire community in the pursuit of effective policing and the safeguarding of Lagos communities.
Similarly, Egbetokun visited the Oniru of Iru kingdom, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal, CON, who is also a retired police officer. The Inspector General of Police was accompanied on these visits by Mr. Abiodun Alabi the Deputy Inspector General in charge of Force Criminal Investigation Department, Alhaji Ali Mohd Ari an Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 2, Onikan and various other senior officers in Lagos State.
Mr. Kayode Adeola Egbetokun reaffirmed his commitment to standardizing the police, charged the host traditional rulers and the traditional institutions in general, on inclusiveness in actualizing the principles of community policing in order to have a more secure and peaceful society in Nigeria.
