The operatives of the Intelligence Response Team of the Nigeria Police Force while acting on intelligence, got information on the hideout of a notorious bandit group in the suburb of the Federal Capital Territory led by one Isa Dei-Dei and immediately proceeded to the location for possible arrest.
In the press release made available to www.mp3dailynews.com.ng from Mr. Olumuyiwa Adejobi an Assistant Commissioner of Police the Force Public Relations Officer explained that while police team were closing in on the suspected kidnappers and on sighting the police, they fled. The operatives immediately went after them, which led to a fierce gun duel.
In the process, the notorious Isa Dei-Dei was neutralized while other members of the syndicate managed to escape with gunshot injuries.
The Police Spoke man therefore urges members of the public, most especially medical practitioners, to call the attention of the nearest police station in case anyone or patients seen with gunshot wounds for further investigation.
