Mr. Benneth Igweh a Commissioner of Police arrested kidnappers 48 hours of his redeployment as the Federal Capital Territory Police Command Commissioner of Police,
Police operatives attached to Anti-Kidnapping Unit in the continued fight against criminality in Abuja who acted on credible intelligence arrested a twenty years old Buhari Muhammad, plus a wanted twenty years old kidnap kingpin known as Muhammad Sabiu, Isah Abdullahi, another twenty one years old Hamzat Musa and a twenty-two year old Fatima Abdullahi and including a twenty- three years old Zuliat Yusuf in a hotel in Bassa Village within the Federal Capital Territory.
The notorious kidnap syndicaate were responsible for the abduction of one Joshua Eze, the husband to Blessing Eze who suffered a bullet injury in the process of her husband's abduction on this January and was subsequently rescued unhurt by Police operatives of the Command few days ago.
One AK47 rifle, 10 mobile phones, cash sum of three hundred and forty-five thousand Naira and some other valuables were recovered from the suspects who have since confessed to the crime and other kidnapping incidents in the Territory.
The Commissioner of Police wishes to assure members of the public of his commitment to rid Abuja of criminality in all its manifestation, though investigation is still ongoing.
