Every act of conduct has now become relative in Edo State.There is justification for every action-bad or good. The rudiment of values, integrity and self-worth have all been circumvented by the cacophony of "there is hunger in the land". Every new day has a new tragedy bestowed on us by the Governor Obasekis administration which has foisted poverty and weaponized penury with a treacherous model designed as appointments to perpetually hold the populace by their jugulars.
As remarked above, however, due to economic issues, some values would have to be recalibrated, and to this we shall have recourse , albeit with the caveat that their impact must not be allowed to be so debilitating as to negatively impact the basic values of the people as we have found in the job descriptions of the Edo monstrous Governor's pepper chewing urchins or apologies called SSAs and SAs.
It is ridiculous like a geniatric self-diminution to find the supposed leaders of tomorrow doing some hachet jobs capable of rumpling the said most spoken about tomorrow, which with this appointments, may never come. It is wrong when anyone calls it hunger, but why we wont accuse the traducers of " it is caused by hunger" beyond necessary, we would rather mildly call the situation of accepting these trojan gifts from the State Governor "an indiscipline on the part of the beneficiaries".
We will succinctly establish it that it can never be adjudged a normal circumstance for any one to accept these late night appointments with less than four months for the Governor to return back to Lagos State if he's found saintly.
While we thought we are the only ones disposed to the sort of atrocituous kind of job offers where the beneficiaries must take a photograph with either the council Chairman or any Government official dispensing the letter, we have found some other right thinking members of the Edo State political landscape, reading from the hymn book with us.
With the Federal High Court vacating Asue Ighodalo's candidacy yesterday where the SSAs and SAs in retaliation to fight the Judge who did a decent job, Great Eric Imonitie has come out publicly to say he felt appalled.
" Cultural shifts, driven by increased greed and uncontrollable libido for crumbs ravaging the youth league should not make any one accept four months appointment to lose his or her senses", Imonitie asserts.
"How can an educated person be enlisted to carry out dirty and inglorious job of fanning the ember of a failed government. They fail to realize that the appointment charade is a cash grab from the poor to sustain lifestyle of those syphoning our common wealth, because when they pay a dime, they get ten dimes in return. I will apologize to them as erudite juries if their candidate fails to appeal the judgement of yesterday. I would praise them for truly having a justifiable jobs doing.
"The beneficiaries of these appointments are not hungry people, they simply people who cannot manage their hungers. I pity the SSAs and SAs , especially those from Owan East who are sinning against God Almighty, by defending a man who has created artificial harrowing times for our people. They are just mere tools to conclude and perhaps sustain the prolonged mis rule in the State .
