Mr. Adegoke Mustapha Fayoade an Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Police Command comprising Lagos and Ogun States held a security meeting with Commissioners of Police, Strategic and Tactical Commanders.
The lecture was aimed at ensuring security around the zone to map out plan for the year 2025. Fayoade charged principal officers to be more proactive and adopt community policing strategies and improve public relations to aid intelligence gathering which is key in crime fighting.
In attendance at the lecture were Mr. Olanrewaju Ishola the Commissioners of Police in charge of Lagos State Command and Mr. Lanre Ogunlowo the Commissioner of Police in charge of Ogun State and all Area/Squadron Commanders within the Zone.
The Police Boss stressed on the need for physical and covert policing to rid the Zone of criminal elements while emphasizing on collaboration with sister agencies and partnership with members of the public. He also charged them to identify black-spots and beef up security in their respective areas of jurisdiction.
