Mr. Ajao Saka Adewalea Commissioner of Police takes over the Federal Capital Territory Police Command as the 33rd Commissioner of Police in charge of the Command. He officially took over the leadership of the Command from Mr. Olatunji Rilwan Disu an Assistant Inspector General of Police on March 26, 2025, following elevation and redeployment.
Ajao, an astute law enforcement officer with an illustrious career spanning over 30 years, brings a wealth of experience, professionalism, and dedication to his new role. Born on November 28, 1968, in Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State, he enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on June 10, 1994, after obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography Education from the University of Ilorin.
Upon his enlistment, the new Police Boss underwent training at the prestigious Nigeria Police Academy, now in Wudil, Kano, before beginning his policing career at ‘D’ Divisional Headquarters, Oyo State Command. Since then, he has served in various capacities across different formations, including:
