ABUJA: Police Arrest Five most Wanted Notorious Bandits then Recover Arms

 

In a press statement issued by Mrs. Josephine Adeh a Superintendent of Police and the Police Public Relations Officer of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, Abuja explained that the police tracked down and arrested five notorious and wanted banditry suspects and recovered arms and ammunition.



The operation led by Mr. Victor Geoffrey an Assistant Commissioner of Police the Commander Scorpion Squad, took place between 20th September to 28th September 2025. The suspects are responsible for several kidnappings in the North-Central, North-West, and North-East regions of the country, and have been on the wanted list of the Police and other security agencies. They were tracked to Nasarawa, where they were arrested. The suspects are:

1. Abdullahi Garuba a.k.a. Alhaji Ore, male, 40 years

2. Yusuf Inuwa a.k.a. Alhaji Dabunda, male, 59 years

3. David Kaika a.k.a. Baba, male, 29 years

4. Baba Imaji, female, 36 years

5. Ibrahim Nasiru a.k.a. Pepper, male

Exhibits recovered from the suspects include:

• 2,186 rounds of live 7.62 x 39mm AK-47 ammunition

• Two (2) AK-47 rifles with obliterated serial numbers

• One (1) locally fabricated pistol with two (2) live cartridges

• Five (5) operational motorcycles used by the suspects

Josephine explained that all suspects have confessed to their crimes and will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations. Efforts are ongoing to track and arrest their other gang member currently on the run.

Alhaji Ajao Saka Adewale a Commissioner of Police in charge of the Federal Capital Territory Police Command commended the bravery and gallantry of the officers then reassured the public of his continued efforts to rid the Abuja and its environs of crime and criminality.
