In a media statement issued by Mrs Ayuba Umma a Chief Superintendent of Police and the Zonal Public Relations Officer explained that the Zonal Command is activating strategies the cumb the crime within the zone.
That Mr. Adegoke Mustapha Fayoade an Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of the Zone 2 Command convened a high-level security meeting with Mr. Lanre Ogunlowo a Commissioner of Police of Ogun State Command and Mr. Moshood Jimoh a Commissioner of Police of Lagos State Command along with their respective Deputy Commissioners of Police in charge of Operations.
The meeting focused on strengthening security measures in anticipation of the heightened activities typically associated with the ember months. Key areas of concern include commercial centers, Religious worship centers, schools, highways, motor parks, social hubs, etc.
Fayoade emphasized the importance of inter-agency collaboration, community engagement, continuous personnel training on the responsible use of firearms, and strict adherence to the rule of law.
The Zone 2 Command assures residents of robust and effective security coverage during and beyond the ember months.
