The New Nigeria People's Party re-elected Alhaji Ajuji Ahmed as their National Chairman and also Comrade Dipo Olayokun as their National Secretary including other National Executives at the weekend which are to work for another four years.
The party also re-elected other members of the National Working Committee including Alhaji Abba Kawu, Deputy National Chairman North; Mr. Onu Nwaze, Deputy National Chairman South and Mr. Oladipo Johnson, National Publicity Secretary. Others are Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad, Deputy National Secretary, Alhaji Bala Mohammed, National Organising Secretary, Alhaji Ahmed Balewa, National Treasurer, Mr. Akpan Ekan, National Financial Secretary, Mrs. Maryam Yasin, National Woman Leader; Mr. Muhammad Musa, National Youth Leader, Mr. Magaji Ibrahim, National Legal Adviser and Mr. Mustapha Danhajia, National Welfare Secretary.
Others includes Sadiq Abubakar, National Auditor, Bashir Abacha, National Liaison Officer Shehu Bello, National Vice Chairman North-West, Abubakar Abdulrahman, National Vice Chairman North-Central, Stanley Ijeh, National Vice Chairman South-South; Ademola Ayaode, National Vice Chairman South-West; Collins Onuoha, National Vice Chairman South-West; and Abdulrahman Auwal, representative of persons with disabilities. Also elected were Moses Okoh, Deputy National Organising Secretary; Solape Olatuboson, Deputy National Woman Leader, Fredrick Mbasi, Deputy National Youth Leader 1. Chidiobi Jenny, Deputy National Youth Leader, 2. Fatai Batola, Deputy National Welfare Secretary, Bush Adomson, Deputy National Auditor, Saleh Bade, Deputy National Financial Secretary and Chubisi Emmanuel, Deputy National Treasurer.
Others are Mike Ogienomho Imakhu, deputy national legal adviser; Dalhatu Ibrahim, deputy national publicity secretary; Halima Dongoyaro, deputy representative of corporate bodies; Magandi Ibrahim, ex-officio north-west; Tanko Yakubu, ex-officio north-east; Robert Hon, ex-officio north-central; Anele Clement, ex-officio south-south; Ikechukwu Nnahasi, ex-officio south-east; and Olowokakoko Clement, ex-officio south-west.
Also speaking, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, former governor of Kano and leader of the New Nigeria People's Party commended the elected officials and urged them to be disciplined and loyal to the party.
On his part, Alhaji Bala Mohammedo the Chairman of the National Convention Planning Committee, said the election was conducted in accordance with due process and the guidelines of the Independent National Electoral Commission. Also Ahmed confirmed that the party has been “repositioned, restructured and strengthened” as a major stakeholder in the nation’s democratic process that all eyes are on their great party to point the way forward for sustainable democracy and development in Nigeria. That Nigeria deserves a fresh start and all citizens deserve a fresh new deal which only NNPP is capable of delivering.
