Responding to a petition written by the Diaspora Malian Citizens Organization to the Nigeria Police Force through the Inspector General of Police appealing that the police should urgently intervene on the subject matter. That there are cases of trafficking of intending job seekers between the ages of 18-43 years young people from Mali and at the same time, demanding for ransom their guiding.
Working on intelligence investigation, the operatives of Intelligence Response Team, eventually rescued thirty Malian National who were lured to Nigeria in the pretense that they will get a better job here in Nigeria but later kidnapped then demanding for ransom. The police were able discover them in a rented apartment around Rugan Dakachi area of Katy Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. As a result, twelve Malians and one Nigerian linked to the alleged crime was arrested.
