Nigerian Army in Lagos to Collaborate with the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority

 

The Commander 9 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General AM Adetuyi received the General Manager of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority Mr. Bolaji Oreagba and some of his principal officials in his office.

The Lagos Traffic Boss explained that the visit is a followup of the Commander's visit to their formation and a way to show their profound gratitude to the Commander for his prompt intervention whenever he is being called unto, especially at the last incident that occurred between a soldier and a LASTMA official. 

The General Manager ascertained that the main cause of the incident is yet to be known but the LASTMA official who committed the offense is under disciplinary action and will be deployed to where he will be oriented. He also wished for a cordial and symbiotic relationship between the LASTMA and the Nigerian military so as to strengthen the peaceful co-existence between the two agencies.

Brigadier General AM Adetuyi on the other hand  acknowledged the responsibilities of the LASTMA and their roles which is indispensable in the busy roads of Lagos State and also  promised that 9 Brigade will not tolerate any form of violation of the state traffic regulations. He also emphasized on the need for social interaction between the two agencies and organizing sensitization training for the two agencies to partake in order to strengthen the co- existing robust relationships.

 After his remarks, there was an interactive session between the two agencies . The visit was sealed up with exchange of souvenir followed by a group photograph at the Brigade Mascot.
