The House of Representatives Committee on Police Affairs Commends the Police Boss for Good Working Relationship

 


Honourable Makki Yalleman Abubakar the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Police Affairs and his team visited the Police management team headed by Mr. Kayode Egbetokun the Inspector General of Police at the Force Headquarters Abuja.

The purpose of the visit, according to the committee is to give the police boss and his management team the chance to fairly interact with the Honourable members and develop strategic ideas that will further strengthen and empower the Nigeria Police Force, given the threat of security challenges the country has faced for decades.

Concerning cutting-edge security issues including kidnapping, armed robbery, banditry, terrorism, and other social vices. He gave the Nigeria Police his word that the 10th Assembly, led by Tajudeen Abass, would exert every effort to pass laws that would solve the nation’s security issues for the good of all Nigerians.

Abubakar expressed his gratitude to the honourable committee members who accompanied him to the Force Headquarters for the visit.

The Inspector-General of Police responded by expressing his pleasure at hosting the Police Affairs Committee at Force Headquarters then expressed his gratitude to the committee for their support of the Nigeria Police since taking office and for the visit.

“The National Assembly has been supportive of the police since the inception of the 10th Assembly particularly members of the Committee on Police Affairs. Without your support, the much that we have been able to achieve in the fight against insecurity in Nigeria would not have been possible. I believe that you visit today, we are assured more support from you “, Egbetokun said.
